Debbie B. Foglia is a Hamptons based artist. Born and raised on Long Island, currently residing in Remsenburg, New York. Debbie is full time artist, jewelry designer and owner of Island Bead & Trading Co. located in Eastport, New York. A graduate of San Diego State University with a B.S. in Fine Art with an emphasis on Painting & Sculpture.
She studied various mediums and methods of art under:
J. Lee Elsbree (Watercolors, Center Moriches, N.Y.)
Howard Rose (Oil Painting, Syosset, N.Y.)
Her biggest inspiration and influence to create art comes from her parents Sunny & Lee Bateman. Her mother was an accomplished artist and exposed Debbie to many artistic experiences throughout her life. Her Father is a Family Physician and always encourages her to follow her dreams.
Debbie’s painting style is rich with emotion. You can feel her love for life in her artwork. She is inspired by nature, the sea and her travels. Her use of color and bold brushstrokes capture her subject matter with unique “Representational Style”.
